How To Turn Google+ Volume Down on Your Main Stream

If you like to see what your friends are posting on Google+ but don’t need everything, turn down the circle’s volume. Google+ recently included an update that lets you turn down the amount of posts you receive from certain circles.

  • Log into your Google+ account and click one of your circles under Stream on the left side.
  • Then click OK, I got it. You’ll need to click this for each circle in your stream.
  • Then move the slider to adjust the amount of posts you see. You can turn it completely off, all the way up or somewhere in the middle.
  • This is a nice feature if some of your circles are posting so much it’s getting annoying. Hopefully Google will eventually include a feature to filter specific contacts like in Gmail.
